Sooooo tired....
Yesterday was suppose to be my longest shift so far,.. but it turned out to be much longer than even I had anticipated.
My promotion went through so now I "don the apron" of a manager. =/ yay....
The pay increase is less than impressive. But still,.. I need the money.
So, they had me come in at 7am yesterday to work until 3pm in order to help out with stock and give Melissa a chance to train me as a manager. Things went pretty well. The first half of my day zoomed by until Melissa got a call from my relief. Yeah,.. he called in sick. Melissa already had 40 hours for the week and they don't like to pay over-time if they can help it. Not to mention I'm sure she was already worn out from the previous few days. So, I wound up staying until 8:30 that night. That's a 13 hour shift.
I'm... so... tired.
I went to bed at around 11pm after my shower last night and didn't wake up until 9am. I don't feel like I slept at all. Yesterday was incredibly busy. And I was on my feet for a total of 11 hours. So "exhausted" doesn't even cover it.
*sigh* Now I have to go in and work a 7 hour shift for today and another one tomorrow morning before I FINALLY get a day off....
I hope they're not expecting too much out of me today... I'm worn the hell out.
