Comments/Notes: written for ohmygod_sun's prompt of Yoseob's thought about G.Na's MV related to his yozm update about his jealousy. Completely not what she had in mind at all considering it's from Gina's pov rather than Yoseob's, but... :x I never said my muses were logical, now did I?

Summary: Gina isn't a homewrecker, no matter what some people say about her.

~*~*~

Gina would be lying if she said that she didn’t find Yoon Doojoon to be a highly attractive man or that she hadn’t scribbled down their names together once or twice just to see how they looked next to each other.

If pressed, she’d even admit that she’d spent a couple of nights wondering if he’d find her too pushy if she began seriously persueing him - Korea wasn’t exactly as forward thinking as Canada, after all - and that she’d perhaps engineered a few situations at the Cube studio to test the boundaries of his interest.

She’d backed off, though, as soon as he’d shown the slightest bit of discomfort and shut up all of her own interest the second she’d heard rumors that he wasn’t as single as he was supposed to be.

There were a lot of things she could reasonably be accused of being - both good and bad - but she’d seen too many relationships broken up by selfish little whores with no respect for prior claims to allow herself to become that girl.

That didn’t mean she wasn’t dying of curiosity over who the mystery woman was. Gayoon had been the first to warn Gina that Doojoon was off-limits, but she wouldn’t admit to knowing more than that.

Gina wasn’t stupid and she could tell that Gayoon - and really, all of 4Minute - knew the truth, but she was the new face here. They’d all been around, they knew each other, they were family. Gina was included on the surface and no one that she’d met was anything less than friendly and welcoming, but she knew she’d have to prove herself before they accepted her into the more tightly knit inner circles of that family.

She understood and she didn’t hold it against them. She trusted that time and experience would help build that bridge.

That didn’t really help her out with the mystery on hand.

She was a resourceful girl, though, perfectly capable of keeping her eyes and ears open for hints and then working it out for herself.

The first couple of weeks were frustrating. Outside of work, he never really seemed to spend time with anyone that wasn’t his family or his band. There were no significant looks or lingering touches with any of the stylists or staff, no fan that he seemed to obviously favor over any other.

He treated the girls of 4Minute like they were his siblings. Girls from other labels were dealt with in a variety of manners, but all respectful and none with any kind of intimate familiarity that bespoke of a secret relationship.

It was Gikwang that accidentally gave her the hint she needed to figure it out.

She stumbled onto him giving a very annoyed Yoseob a hard time about the teaser that had just been released for Gina’s song.

She might have dismissed it from her mind entirely except that it sounded more like Yoseob was being teased about Gina being in the video with Doojoon rather than the other way around.

They’d both shut up the moment they’d realized she was there, but Gina had heard enough to turn all of her previous suspicions upside down and inside out. That, coupled with the grudging way Yoseob dealt with her in the days following the release, had her re-evaluating everything she’d already observed.

And after that…

Well, she couldn’t help but feel a little dumb for not having even considered it in the first place. So much for forward thinking.

As difficult as it was for an artist to have a relationship in the public eye, there was no real reason to hide it from label mates and others in the industry … if it was a standard, easily accepted relationship.

Doojoon only ever seemed to hang out with his bandmates, but it was Yoseob she saw him with the most. There were the lingering touches and significant looks, the soft smiles and intimacy.

Playing up to the fans fantasies was a common enough trend in the Korean music scene, but Yoseob and Doojoon acted the same way whether they were in front of an audience or thought they were alone. If anything, their manner with each other grew even more familiar once the cameras stopped rolling.

It was almost ridiculously adorable, really.

She wasn’t a part of that inner circle of family yet, but one day she would be and Gina added her own vow of silence to everyone else’s.
