Snow on the ground, on everything around them, it was weird to see her bundled up. With most of the time they spent together was in the summer, he was realizing how he never really saw her with her hooded coat and blue and white scarf wrapped around her neck. Somehow seeing her like this, in winter… suited her.
The air was cold, the sky covered in clouds and down came snowflakes, fat and lazy in a slow downward spiral, as big as a thumbprint. The cloud cover brought on the need for lights, trees covered in white strings of lights illumined the path they were walking.
“This… is so romantic.” She breathed, her eyes shining even brighter than usual as they moved over to examine their surroundings.
He rolled his eyes. Girls and their girly thoughts… but how he did find himself appreciating how lit up her green eyes were with delight. He couldn’t ever remember a time when there wasn’t any green around them, but here and now in this season, the only objects that were green and full of vibrant life was here, in her eyes. He couldn’t help but find his eyes not everywhere that she was looking and examining at but continually returning to her face.
