just received this in an e-mail. Thought i'd share with the class...

The new dollar

with the picture of George Washington on it. To my shock and dismay the
words, "In God We Trust", are not on this coin!

$1.00 coin is the first money ever issued by the USA in modern history
without the words "In God We Trust". By omitting these words, our
politically correct, secularist leaders made a conscientious decision that
either; 1) God does not exist, or 2) that God exists, but can no longer be
trusted.

and now...my thoughts...

Dude, this is such a joke!!! I mean, if there is any reason not to use it, it's the denigration of a time honored tradition ("In God We
Trust), not the myth of Christian persecution in this country. When 85% of the people in a given country identify themselves as Christians, the
only way they could be persecuted is if they do it themselves, seeing conspiracies anywhere they look.

There is NO Christian persecution in America. This is just a means whiny people use to get their way when they lack the skills or
raw intellect to articulate their argument. Let's quit mollycoddling these namby-pambies, and make them come up with something worthwhile to
devote their energies to, like feeding the homeless, or striving to raise the level of education in their country, or anything but
something this infantile.

I mean, really...is your faith so hollow that it can't stand up to something as insignificant as this? Just don't use the damned
things. And go solve a real crisis.

just my $.0.02.

and feel free to pass this response along to everyone on your mailing list, as well...be an interesting counterpoint, and may spark a debate...

Sorry if this comes off as harsh, but frankly, it's one of the few things that just really irks me. I'm pretty sure
the Almighty could care less, and the founding fathers wouldn't mind so much either...

And if my opinions offend, I do deeply and humbly apologize, but with everything else going on in the world that needs fixing, and
by those with the strength of their convictions to back them up, should this really even be a priority?

Just a thought...
