(no subject)
So in the realm of things I had forgotten I dislike a lot? Waiting for repair-persons to come to fix things the internet has not given me suitable DiY answers to. (Oh, internets, not to say you are not fantastic and a treasure trove of information tucked in between LOLcat macros and other wonderful funtime things? But there are things I feel are outside my ability to DiY. Sorry to be lame like that.)
Some things I am capable of handling! Unclogging a drain? I am pretty good at that! Remove gum someone left in their pants pocket (older sibling, I am looking at you) from the inside of the dryer? I also am pretty good at that! Other things, I dare not try, even though making my own flamethrower for fun (and the potential for serious injury and property damage) would be a neat trick. Something else I am not comfortable with doing myself? Toilet repair.
I have tried the less-involved repair tips you provided me with, but am afraid if I tried to do whole-sale fixin' I would end up breakin', and then would have to call the damn plumber anyway only to have said plumber trying, very politely, I'm sure, not to laugh in my face.
ANYWAY.
Plumber-person to arrive within the next two hours. I do not like this feeling of OMG THEY WILL JUDGE ME for being unable to do their job even though I am not one of their exclusive club and therefore not actually expected to know how to do what they do for a living? AND YET. *hands*
ETA: AHAHAHA. /o\ Toilet is mostly fixed? Only now there is a second, smaller problem. Will have to call plumber to come back to fix it. AUGH.
