I think it has something to do with those Star Wars notes of his, and Planet of the Apes (among other things), but I'm not completely sure.
And it's all due to ill-advised choices regarding facial hair.
I'm going to go ahead and assume it has something to do with his dislike of cameras and whatnot.
I mean, come on. No one would believe one person could be so awesome, so they had to put it right there in the title, you know? (And even then they had to take things down a few notches because seriously, it's Ray.)
