This is just all kinds of brilliant. I await the day they make it into a movie. (I would either be the woman warning the scientists of the inherent danger of what they're attempting to do, or one of the first hapless victims taken out by the monstrosity they create.)
I haven't been able to focus on much of anything all week (not too surprising, really) so right now I'm reading fic, drinking hot chocolate, and listening to music and it's amazing. I haven't been able to just do nothing like this for a while, what with stress and everything else, so I'm totally enjoying it.
Last night I managed to work on Challenge Fic a little and it's hovering around 7,000 words at the moment. I'm hoping to get some time this weekend to write because there's just over two weeks left before the posting date and I'm almost at the halfway point, I think. /o\
I also have copies of Scott Lynch's The Lies of Locke Lamora and David Weber's In Fury Born (it's an expanded version of his earlier book Path of the Fury which I love so damn much) sitting on my desk as incentives to finish Challege Fic.
Real books that I've wanted to read for a long time! \o/
