This fandom, I love it.

I am also maybe dying of horror laughter while peeking at my computer screen between my fingers. Things like this is why I resisted RPS for so long, and yet now? It's hilarious in a horrifying sort of way.

P.S. Ahahaha. I love that everyone just wants to be helpful. ♥ ♥ ♥

ETA: This is made of win.

wtf?, bandom

I just got online and I am seriously dying reading about it.

It's like on one hand, how/why did this happen? But on the other? how so amazingly cool - in a horrifying sort of way? (Also, I am all flat-out denial that this has anything to do with me on a personal level, which is awesome because then I get to laugh and laugh and laugh. XD)

I laughed so so hard reading though the linked comment thread. Like, snorting. My family gave me funny looks.

Usually, I am horrified when I hear about people, like, giving fic to members of bands or whatever, but somehow I am not. I think it's because, as far as I know, he found it himself, so it's not like someone is forcing things he doesn't want upon him. I'm not sure how I feel about the choice of fic, though - I mean, at least it's good. On the other hand, knowing that band members are reading fic is less horrifying if I can imagine that it's some other fic, in some other corner of fandom.

I was laughing so hard I couldn't breathe at one point.

Oh, man. I first heard about the whole thing this morning when it first hit LJ? And my initial reaction was the horror/panic, but after reading that latest it's more like nervous laughter and outright amusement. I'm relived that he doesn't seem to have a problem with it, it's just incredibly weird.

I'm relieved it's not horrendous badfic, but if he's reading the goodfic? That could mean he - or others in bandom - are in our communities reading our posts, and that's just another level of freakout I'm not ready to address just yet.

The idea that bandom boys might be reading me really is terrifying to me, but I have no porn about them (just squee) and I am not a well known fan, so I try to reassure myself that it's not happening. Never have I been so happy that I never really got into TAI, though.

This is exactly how I feel! I always have that slight paranoia and think about making my journal friends-only, but then I realize that wait. I'm not even a blip on their pornfiction radar, they won't notice me! And laugh and laugh and laugh.

Apparently, I'm a bad person. ;)

I love you, thank you for making my day. Seriously I haven't laughed so hard in weeks. Oh, Tomrad, how so made of awesome?

Also? Gerard Way writes Planet of the Apes fanfic? I might have hurt myself.

I know, right? It's both hilarious and horrifying! Best of both worlds! \o/

Apparently yes! I may or may not have hurt myself laughing when I heard about that.

(I'm more convinced than ever that that shot of Gerard's notebook with "Star Wars Notes" scribbled on it were actually his notes for that epic Star Wars fanfic he was/is writing.)

Ahaha, win! I bet it was! I just wonder what kind of fanfic... the really actionpacked (or the typically boy-oriented) ones or the long schmoopy epic of Han and Leia's love. I was going to say Luke and Leia, but I bet that lost all allure when he realized that people were writing about him and his own brother. Poor Gerard. His life, so hard.

(I counted my collection of icons the other day and realized that I have a shitload of Mikey/Gerard icons [and I mean that in the non-slashy sense] and people who doesn't know me might get the wrong ideas.)

Oh, but you forget - this is Gerard. It's probably some combination of the two - perhaps even a harlequinn with space pirates (who are not Han Solo) and abductions and forced marriages and -- wait. I think I've read those books. I seem to remember one Star Wars book in particular in which some prince was trying to woo Leia and Han was not happy.

(Also, I may have outed myself as being geekier than previously expected! ;D)

It is. He just wanted to play in fandom but then he became fandom and everything he used to like is just all weird now. Except for that one fic where he and Frank... Well. It's not like it's real or anything ( ... )
