I have just discovered (via wikipedia) that the official state dance of New Jersey is the square dance. Coincidentally, it is also the official state dance of Washington. (Further research/random clicking - shows that a great many states have adopted the square dance as their official state dance. That's both interesting and disturbing on many levels.)

I feel as if this is a sign. Of what, I don't know. I'm just amused that there are such things as state dances. And vegetables. We, of course, have the Walla Walla Sweet Onion because. Um. I don't know. People really like it? (Yeah, no. Not so much up on my state history/pride.)

The point I was trying to make is. Clearly, clearly this means at some point Gerard and other assorted bandom boys from New Jersey were forced made to learn how to square dance. And that thought fills me with an unholy sort of glee because seriously. That was like a special kind of hell for me back in the day when we did whole dance section in P.E. due to my natural lack of rhythm. Can you imagine if any of them had a teacher who was all "HAVE SOME PRIDE IN YOUR OFFICIAL STATE DANCE!" at the same time? I mean.

(New Jersey has a state dinosaur. Seriously, this is fascinating stuff people.)

I don't even remember why I looked New Jersey up on wikipedia anymore.

don't judge me!, geekery, bandom, mcr
