Huge-ass TV show finales post / 2010-2011 wrap up - Part 2

Spoilers ahoy!

-Supernatural S6, AKA: the most subtle of all seasons
Mixed feelings about "ah, season six". The funny episodes were indeed funny, but I prefer the references to fandom when they were gentle nudges and not thrown at my face.
As usual, I cringe at unresolved plotlines, such as what will happen with the dragons, what did El mean by "Lovecraft couldn't even write 'hello'",did something else escape purgatory, now that God!Cas has taken over, will we never see god at all? etc. (I'm probably thinking too much into this, as usual, but STILL)
On the topic of puratory, that was a cheap way to save on the special effects and not showing purgatory. A simple door would have sufficed, I is disappoint.
The ending is not even trying to be conclusive. But I was gonna watch 7X01 anyway so yeah.

-The Mentalist, S3: HOLY MOTHER OF- WHERE DID THAT COME FROM???
After an entire season of BLAH, we get thiiiis? It counts as a good finale, because it cuts (drastically) to the chase, and we now know everything. But that's supposed to be it? The Red John case ends here? I'm curious how S4 will continue from there one, I can only imagine something House S5 like, Patrick is locked up and in remission/therapy. Joining the CBI for futher investigations seems a bit compromised. Or White Collar style, with tracking anklet and close monitoring.

-The Vampire Diaries S2, AKA: More stalling and more sexy rumpus
The second half of the season seemed a lot like fillers, to introduce our main villain for the next season(s) to come. After Klaus, the books are out of villains, so I hope the writers can come up with something interesting that is not shadow worlds and kitsunes. Because with all due respect to LJ Smith's manga fangirling, the second trilogy was a big no no (in terms of villains and pretty much everything else, but mostly villains).
This is another great finale, with Fringe. Not as cliff-y as S1, not as intense as the previous episode, but a great intro to S3. Everything is still possible. Caroline making up with her mom was a personal fav of mine, because I'm always super invested in mother-daughter relationships. I cried 2 liters of tears for Jenna, I really liked her, clueless and less oblivious. Sara Canning was credited as usual in the episode after, so who knows what'll happen. Especially now that Jeremy has become Ghost Whisperer, perhaps it's not just "Ghosts of Girfriends' past" but he sees dead people in general, aka everyone who was once close to him and then died? (boy he'll be never alone again) (3 movie/tv references in one sentence, I think I outdid myself on this one)I have mixed feelings about Delena, I liked it when it was just a possibility. Perhaps the writers were cornered by the fans and couldn't put it off any longer? We'll see what they make of it.

Aside from Hawai Five 0 backlog, I'll watch The Lost Girl, Pretty Little Liars and new White collar over summer.
Aside renewed series, I'll watch out for The Finder and Charlie's Angels in autumn. Anything else will have to wait until at least November sweeps, I'll pick from what hasn't been axed by then. And go back to watching more animu, since last autumn I haven't nearly watched as many as I wanted/used to.

hawaii five 0, the vampire diaries, spn, the mentalist, us shows
