Weird Things I've noticed in MI

I know I'm out of my comfort zone but I just need to note these differences.

First of all MI is a state where your front license plate is not required. This is bizarre for me since NJ, NY and CO have needed them. Thankfully, I have my car once again and have my out of state tags.

Secondly, the radio stations are kinda not to my liking and that's a cultural thing. There's 88.7 (89x) that is probably the station I want but let's face it - I need Goodman in the morning and thanks my lucky stars for 3G and iheartradio because I can listen to him on my way to work provided I don't hit a dead zone.

MI people have a strange obsession with coleslaw. I've never liked the stuff but it seems to be a necessary food item.

I've also been made aware of the LLP (liquor, lotto, pizza) situation. That is bizzare, but these types of establishments are everywhere and it's very different from what I'm used to.

I'm apparently also not used to the humidity again as I've forgotten how it plays with the cold. Temperature-wise things are relatively the same as CO but the humidity makes the cold much deeper and more penatrating here. At least I don't have to walk the puppy dog in this cold. My car also really hates the cold. Like backing out of the driveway my car is straining itself to move which is kind of scary.

Anywho, I know it looks like I'm full of complaints but really these are just observations I've made since I've been here. Still adjusting and still trying to get back to an EST schedule. It's a work in progress ^.^
