Busy time lately, what can I say?
I have many many pictures to sort though, leaving them to sit on my camera does feel like quite the waste. ::grin::
In short:
Went to the Fox Theatre on 9/01 and took their $5 tour. The place is beautiful, and getting a chance to try and take pics without the crowd was well worth being dragged out of bed at 9am.
That Sat, got to see the Moody Blues play there. Good show, a few sound balance issues, but still awesome. Gordy remains a complete showoff, and I love him for that. Didn't take the camera, took plenty of pics/video last year, so I just wanted to enjoy the concert without the distractions. Unfortunately, poor Dad was down a bit closer than us in the handicapped section... right next to the bass amp as it turns out. Gave his heart all kinds of problems, and he had to be wheeled back away from there. Didn't get to enjoy at all, and I suppose he's done with concert-going. (Not that he went very much at all anyway. Think he went this time more to please Mom than anything.)
Mon was the Japanese festival at the Botanical Gardens. 'tis the first time we've gone on the Monday, and I was pleased to find it a bit less crowded than the weekend days'd gotten these past few years. Videoed some of St. Louis Osuwa Taiko (always the highlight of the fest for me, even if we never stay for the whole thing =/) which can be found here, here, here and here. If they ever put together a DVD, I'd buy it in a heartbeat, and when a CD's available? I'll buy it. Took some more pictures, need to sort through them.
Also, bro replaced my PSP after its unfortunate introduction to his parking lot a few months back, so I am now both loving and getting my arse handed to me by Final Fantasy:Dissidia. It's awesome! And so very very frustrating! (Curse you, Golbez. I'll get you yet...)
Also also, finally finished Zelda:Twilight Princess. I love that game, and I love that the plot was a bit of a departure from the Zelda norm. (I <3 you, Midna.) Wish there was more fic for it, though. I want some Link/Midna, and or post-game gen like burning.
And SPN 5.01 was very cool. I'd not realized the premiere was coming until like 2 days before. Hadn't expected it back so soon, made the summer wait feel much shorter. Maybe I'll have thoughts, I dunno. Mostly just glad to have it back.
Also, in both joy and preparation for the Wheel of Time series finally nearing the finish line, I'm getting ready to re-read them all, including the most recent that I'd bought, but never gotten around to opening. This will probably eat all my free time for the foreseeable future.
So... that was my last month and a half (Well, what I remember of it.) What's up with everyone else?
