"Ohaiyo-Oof!"

Stepping out from his room, hair mussed up from a night of tossing and turning as he slept, Sho got attacked around the middle the moment he stepped out of his room, by a small wriggling body which attached itself to his waist, knocking the air out of him. It took the guy a couple of seconds, before he registered the squirming one as Natsume, the younger one of the three siblings, whilst the elder Ryota stood there, watching him, calm, collected eyes as if examining him.

They freaked him, the pair of eyes that looked eerily like his sisters, yet apparently held a wealth of knowledge. "Ohaiyou, Shonii-chan!" Natsume greeted with a childish squeal, and Sho had no choice but to laugh, as he pried the arms away from his waist, picking up the small body of the child, he messed up Natsume's hair as he grinned at him, The younger one reminded Sho of his own younger brother at home, which he doted on, but it was Ryo who spoke up next.

"What have you done to Onee-chan?"

"E-eh?"

Ryo looked as if he knew everything and anything, as Sho turned his tatention to the more serious elder brother, but Natsume was the one who spoke next. "Mimorubaa-chan said before, Nee-chan would only stay if she found someone to take care of her. She's never been here so long before. Are you the one?"

Blinking, Sho was at a loss of words, and reverted his attention again when Ryota spoke up. "Our parents were killed long ago. Nee-chan's never had anyone to take care of her before. I'll kill you if yo do anything to her."

"Onii-chan!"

"You don't know anything Sume, don't talk."

"Ryota. Thats no wya to teach your younger brother manners." the voice of the eldest matriach in the little family spke up, and all three male ones looked up tp find Sayakomi Mimoru standing at the doorway leading to the dining area, a stern look as she glared at Ryota, before motioning the rest of them to the dining area. "Breakfast is ready. Okou. You too, Sakurai-san."

Sho did as told, placing the younger one down to let Natsume run along with Ryota to the dining area, his mind in a little confused state. Passing by the still standing grandmother, Sho couldn't help but stop and ask. "Was that really what happened?" But she didn't reply immediately, pausing as if to give the matter some thought, before finally speaking. "Tomomi has never really let anyone take care of her before. She's too hard-headed and independant. She thinks the life of her brothers and me, depends on her and her alone."

"She's barely 24?"

Sho's slight shock was evident, but Mimoru's only reaction was a shrug, before she too dissapeared in to the dining area. Sho followed after, eyes immediately scanning for Tomomi, only to fall short. "Where is she?" he asked, as if it was a default that she needed to appear there.

"Nee-chan went out earlier. She told me to tell you to leave after breakfast." came Ryota's calm, collected reply. But underlying the words was a hint of warning Sho easily picked out, and he wondered whatever happened to the boy, to let him be so cold, and calm to people who weren't family.

Breakfast was over in a matter of half an hour, but as the grandmother dissapeared behind with the dishes, Sho caught Ryota's small hand before he too went behind to help, and turned the apprehensive boy around. "Look, Ryota-kun. I don't mean to hurt your sister, I don't want to. I really wish I can care for her too." he said firmly. It was as if Ryota's permission was to be given before he would do anything. But Sho knew, with the amount of love and care Tomomi poured on to her younger brothers, he could easily get to her if he prooved himself to her brothers first.

Ryota paused, his soulful eyes slowly searching Sho's, as if looking for some sign of trickery, before the younger boy finally, slowly pulled his hands away from Sho's grip. "I mean it. I'll kill you if you do anything to her."

And he walked off. But somehow, that was Ryota's way of saying, 'Go ahead. Just don't overdo it.'

Hanging around all day aimlessly was fun, if you were in Tokyo where there was always something to do. But in a small village like Okutama, it was hardly even entertaining. But Tomomi would rather be bored to death then stay at home, not while Sho was there anyway.

The girl had awoken at half past six in the morning, and with her whispered instructions to the then still groggy Ryo, she had went out with her bike, and after riding around until the sun became too unberable to be under, the girl had finally took shade in the local ice shop, and had stayed there till the time she knew Obaa-chan would've definitely served lunch, before heading home.

Propping her bike up against the wall, the girl made a silent curse, that Sho had better headed home already or she would castrate the guy. Sounds of laughter from inside the house made the girl smile though, as she recognized the voices of her younger brothers, Ryota especially.

Ever since the death of their parents, the elder of the two brothers had always been quiet, more reserved, and especially protective of his two siblings, especially the younger Natsume. At first, Tomomi had been worried, at how the guy had closed himself off from practically every non-family member, but after time, she could see that it was just a way of Ryo developing, and she left him to his own devices, trusting her own brother to know what was best for him.

Stepping in to the living room, the girl slipped off her shoes, before popping her head in to the room, expecting to see Ryo and Natsume both playing some new game concoction they had came up with. What she didn't expect to see though, was a much larger 'kid' joining them.

There, Sho lay on the floor, being a complete playtoy for both Natsume and even Ryota, much to Tomomi's surprise. Ryota sat on Sho's knees, a huge grin plastered across his face, and Natsume lay across the stomach, whilst Sho played god-knows-what with them, making the two boys laugh.

"Ah! Nee-chan okaeri!"

Natsume was the first to notice her presence, and abandoned his post to quickly run towards his elder sister, Ryota following suit afterwards, but Tomomi's eyes remained on Sho, who had sat up slowly, panting to regain his breathe. All thoughts of castrating him if he hadn't left dissapeared at the image of Sho playing with her two younger brothers, because hardly anyone could actually play with them like that before, not Ryo especially.

"Nee-chan, Shonii-chan said he was going to stay for a few more days. Its okay, right?"

"Demo-"

"Nee-chan!" Natsume whined, pouting at his elder sister. "Shonii-chan is really fun! He was being a slide for us earlier."

A slide? Tomomi's brows raised involuntarily, her eyes flickering up to give Sho a look of disbelief and amusement, but Sho just shrugged, grinning as he did so.

"Natsume! Ryo! Come and help baa-chan with dinner!"

"Hai!" The two boys replied simultaneously, leaving Tomomi alone with Sho in the living room as they ran off. Silence fell for a moment, Tomomi not knowing what to say, whilst Sho didn't dare to say anything. It was quite a while, before the girl broke the silence by a clear of her throat. "W-why didn't you go back yet? I did tell you to go back after lunch."

"I wanted to tell you something."

"N-nani?"

Getting up from his seated position, Sho advanced on Tomomi, each step he took only served to increase the girl's already erractic heart rate, and by the time he came to stand barely a centimetre away from her, she could swear her heart felt like jumping out of her chest. "Tomomi.." Sho breathed softly, as he reached out to take her hand. But the moment he brushed his fingers against hers, the girl jumped as if shot by electricity, and quickly took a step back.

"I-I better g-go... he-help Obaa-chan with dinner."

"She already has Ryo and Sume helping her."

"I-S... They don't know h-how to use the knife."

"Let Obaa-chan do it then."

"B-"

"No more buts Tomomi, listen to me." Sho finally cut in, not willing to listen to her delaying anymore, he took hr hands and pulled her towards him, firmly clasping his arms around her waist, he grinned when he saw the blush on her cheeks. "Ne, Tomomi. I love you."

"You don't."

"W-what?" Sho asked, a little thrown off by her comment, he leaned back, only to see pain written across her face, and he couldn't help but reach up, tilting her cin up, before asking softly. "Why?"

"You don't love me. You love Ayako. Naminaro Ayako. I just look like her."

He had to resist from spluttering in disbelief at her response. Thats why she had been ignoring and avoiding him all day? This was what she meant by one day? Use him for a day and then she was going to leave him? If she thought that, she was mad. "You silly girl." he bit out, pulling her even closer to him.

"You. You as in Sayakomi Tomomi. The girl whose a fashion and stage designer, who doesn't like travelling, who likes watching night scenes. The girl whose hard-headed, stubborn, and so blind she can't see that I love her for who she is. The girl whose company I now crave, and the girl whom I can't see my future life without."

Each words proved forth to bring more tears to Tomomi's eyes, her chest aching with a feeling she couldn't identify. Was it love? She didn't know, because except for the love for her brothers and grandmother, Tomomi had never given herself enough space to feel any other type. Looking up at Sho's smiling features though, she couldn't help herself but let the tears fall down her cheeks, much to Sho's chagrin.

"Eh? Why are you crying? Did I say something wrong? What? Bu-"

"Urusai, baka. You didn't say anything wrong."

"So why are you crying?"

"Good god, are you that dense? I'm touched you idiot."

"Tou- Ohhhh. I see." he replied sheepishly, biting his lip in embarassment, as Tomomi reached up to wrap her arms around his neck, snuggling in to the crook of his shoulders. Sho grinned at her embrace, pressing himself closer to her as if he never wanted to go, he landed a light kiss on the corner of her lips, and was about to tilt her head up to claim a more proper kiss, when a clear of the throat made the couple jump about five feet away from each other, blushing when they saw the grandmother, as well as two kids grinning mischeviously.

"I was about to come and ask Sakurai-kun to help me pound some herbs and spices using the stone mallet, but..."

"I'm coming!" Sho replied immediately, somehow unable to meet his embarassed eyes with the snarkily smiling Sayakomi Mimoru, and the guy immediately went behind towards the kitchen, followed by two silent, yet devilish looking kids, whilst the elder lady headed towards Tomomi, an unvoiced question in her eyes.

"H-hai, Obaa-chan. I love him. I guess."

"No guesses about it, Tomomi." the elder one replied with a smile, and patted Tomomi with her wrinkled hand, smiling, she opened her mouth, about to speak, when two smaller figures came barreling in. "Nee-chan! Shonii-chan promised to bring us to the beach tomorrow!"

"Eh?"

---

"They blackmailed me in to it!"

Sho let his towel drop as he whined, giving a pleading look at Tomomi, who sat at the end of his futon, a look of disbelief directed at Sho. The guy's hair was still wet, fresh from his bathe, and Tomomi had entered after dinner to ask on what exactly had happened to make him agree to bring her two devilish brothers to the seaside.

"Like how? Take a knife and point it at your head?"

"Ryo said if I didn't he would.. kldhjdld."

"What?"

"He... would..." he trailed off, and Tomomi wasn't so sure if she was supposed to feel amused or annoyed. "Sho."

"Ryo said he would follow you like a shadow and not leave you alone for the next few days if I didn't."

Tomomi blinked, at a loss of words for a second, before asking in disbelief. "How is that blackmail, in any way?"

"Well if he followed you, I wouldn't get some tim-" Sho stopped abruptly, as he suddenly realized what he was about to say, and Tomomi blushed at his words, biting her lip as she looked away. Even Sho was slightly embarassed, but he still reached out and took her hand in his, playing with her fingers for a second, before saying. "Come along tomorrow, at least before I go back the day after. My manager just called me. His bloody pissed."

"Oops."

Sho laughed, unable to help himself, before pulling Tomomi in to brush a light kiss upon her lips, a kiss that left Tomomi wanting more, before he pulled back, a sneaky look on his face. "You'd better go back to your room, or Obaa-chan would get suspicious."

"H-hai."

And then she left, Sho falling back heavily on his futon, his eyes swimming with images of Tomomi's blush that made her look all the more charming, he closed his eyes, the nights dreams filled with nothing but the girl who slept no more then a room away from him.
