Happy Children's Day!
Time passes so much faster when you're doing more than just twiddling your thumbs waiting for something to happen! Once again, I've left this update for far too long, so I'll just have to recap the past month's happenings and thoughts in brief:
♥ Shape October is out! Only have two stories in this issue, but now I'm really looking forward to November when more of my stuff will be in!
♥ Over the past 2 days I've had my first (and probably last) taste of modeling. I could not have been captured in a more unglam state. The first day I was caked in heavy makeup, and asked to put on a pissed off face. Today, I had the beginnings of a pimple (in protest of the previous day's gunk) on my cheek and practically no makeup, face scrunched into various expressions of pain. For another shot, I had to hike up my skirt (it was hanging on my hips) and pose in an awkward position in 3.5 inch stilettos that were 2 sizes too big, on paper that tore every time I shifted my feet. Plus various other equally unflattering poses. Now why couldn't they just give me a simple bikini shoot? (kidding, please!!)
♥Am in the midst of revamping my room. Bought a loft bed from IKEA, sorted out my wardrobe (finally!) Need to get more hangers and a nice storage solution for all my magazines and bags. Oh, and try to palm off my old clothes to Fei & gang. Actually, I need to settle on a colour scheme! I've got silver, white, cream... I need a bolder accent colour to jazz things up a bit!
♥Developed another pet peeve recently. Don't you just hate it when happen to be having a normal concersation with a guy, and his friends walk past (usually female) and they hiss at him conspiratorially, "pao neu ah!" (meaning:chatting up girls) Eh, hello! Do you think just cos you're hissing I won't understand cos I'm human, not a snake?! I usually just pretend I didn't hear... but it's not even funny, especially when I don't know the fella well!
♥Picked up yet another shopping privilege card today... 20% off at Inner Affair. Gawd yes, cheesy name, I know... but they have some gorgeous lingerie at decent prices! Best bit is they have a range of cup sizes and no crazy padding. *bliss* Pretty undies sure are a perk up! (in more ways than one?)
♥I need to print myself some name cards! Honestly, I used to think it was just poseur... but now I understand it's crucial for keeping in touch with people! Only thing is, what do you put if you're in transition like me? I'm thinking "freelance writer" would probably be the most appropriate, if a little strange. There's also the question of design/font/ paper... *ponders*
♥I think I met up with Al a total of less than 10 times in September. And that's considering he had his one-week school break during this period. I've no idea where this is all going. It's sad, cos everything else is going so well, yet I haven't been able to share my excitement with him. :(
♥Ok, I should end this on a happier note so... I get to try belly dancing and paintball next week! Should be fun aye? :D
