I am currently catwaxing to avoid catwashing. Yesterday the vet called and told me that Giardia showed up in Fee's fecal sample. She has no symptoms and she probably picked it up months ago at the shelter. She had her 1st of 6 doses of medicine today and I need to gradually go thru the apt and wash all the washables and spray the sprayables and vacuum the vacuumables. And wash the cat.
To do:
Clean bathroom counter, floor, towels, rugs
Vacuum hall
Vacuum main room (1/2 done)
Vacuum kitchen rug
Empty, wash, spray, refill litterbox
Spray and wipe cat napping bin, carrier
Spray kitchen counters
Spray kitchen floor
Wash other kitchen rug
Spray bottom shelf of refrigerator (yes, she gets in the refrigerator-also the dishwasher and the clothes washer)
Spray and wipe misc surfaces in main room
Wash throw on chair
Wash bedding (in the machine now-I don't know what I'd do without a washer/dryer)
Wash Cat
Wash me (after all this, I'll certainly need it!)
Then, at the end of her treatment (in about a week) I get to do it all again!
My main issue is the order I do it in to get maximum cleanliness and minimum mess.
Which is why I started with the one area that can be isolated-the bathroom.
Enough procrastinating! I'm off to make a cleaner tomorrow!
Edit-7:50pm-Oh, that was all kinds of bad. I'm just glad that part's out of the way.
