So, it’s the second day of the new year and I truly hope 2025 will be a healthy and Happy New Year for us all!  The Christmas holidays always go by in such a rush, so leave your decorations up until Jan 6th-you can continue to savor them and the Three Wiseman can see some festive lights :):)

Today is super cold but we’ll have a warm up in a couple of days and it’s now officially Advent/Christmas season, so it’s time for a random wintertime update of randomness:

I do adore the Tony Awards and the shows that look the most interesting are The Outsiders, Suffs and Water for Elephants. Between the ages of twelve to fifteen, I must have read the book The Outsiders about five hundred times and watched the movie just as much.  A fabulous book that still resonates to this day.    This Sunday I will be seeing a ( Read more... )

I'm so thrilled, we're going to see Spamalot on Broadway in May and I was able to get the seats I like--side orchestra and aisle seats--so this is going to be beyond fabulous :):)  And the Saturday before we're going to our local community play to see a Mae West play and I'm sure that's going to be wonderfully different.  I'm so grateful to be ( Read more... )

So, the Tony awards were televised this past Sunday, and quite a few shows looked fabulous.  I was particularly interested in seeing & Juliet, Shucked and Some Like it Hot.  I'd also love to see Sweeney Todd in all of it's orchestral gorgeousness.

We’re going to NYC in Oct and I was able to book tickets for Some Like it Hot!   I can’t wait :):)

So I watched Hamilton last night and I can see why the show is as popular as it is and why it has won so many awards :)  I also hope all of my fellow Americans have a wonderfully Happy 4th of July and to everyone else, Happy Saturday!

Holy crapasarious, but the mobs of people in New York City were insane!  We stood for an hour at the half price ticket booth in Times Square.  But on the other hand, the musical I saw, Something Rotten, was brilliantly funny.  It was set in the 1590's and the main lead, Nick Bottom. hates Shakespeare and all of his successful plays, so he and his ( Read more... )
