Summertime :)
So tomorrow is Memorial Day and that is the official start to summer--WOO HOO!! I am not a person who likes the heat, but I do like my Summer play series and I also love the new Summer movies, so my WOO HOO still stands :):)
1. I saw the new Planet of the Apes movie and it was quite good. I especially liked the scene where the apes were looking at an old Curious George book and you could see how freaked out they were by the illustrations of George's being in a cage. There was another scenes where the human heroine tells the ape hero that the building they destroyed wasn't a place for apes and he asked her if she wanted to go back to when apes were silent with the implication being when apes were caged. Some truly well done scenes.
2. I saw the farce Noises Off--it was damn funny and the amount of physical humor all the actors did was massively impressive.
3. I'm looking forward to catching up on my reading--I want to read the final installment of the One of Us is Lying trilogy but I never had the time with my bible study but now it's summer and I'm making the time :):)
4. I had to have some teeth extracted and it's freaking me out that I have empty spaces in my mouth--it's still healing and I'm still brushing and chewing gingerly. The last time I had a tooth pulled was forty years ago--DAMN!!
5. We just had a sun shower. Sun showers are insane--the sun's out but it's still raining. WTF??!!
