I hope everyone’s Mother's Day was lovely and spring-filled!
We saw two plays over the weekend: a local high school production of The Canterville Ghost and a community theater production of Mae West's The Drag. Both shows were great fun and I was particularly impressed with The Drag--the play was written one hundred years ago and the themes of people feeling alienated if they don't fit what society deems as normal is still as prevalent today as it was back then.
I really want to see the new Plant of the Apes movie--the CGI looks insanely believable and I like the idea of inclusion of all walks of life and the theme of "acceptance of our differences" is very much needed in today’s political climate.
