Valentines Day is tomorrow!

Feb 13, 2006 21:02

So I guess this is my new tradition... I'm just gonna copy and paste last year's Valentines Day Re-cap, then edit it a little bit. Here's a look at my last couple years on the 14th of February! a lot of it is kinda funny- well, ok tons of it. Like the fish tank. And Jeff Brown. And Patrick Adams... hahaha yeah.... But I think you're a bigger person when you can laugh at your past without having these huge, major regrets. And of course there's some things (particularly some boys!) I regret, but oh well.

Valentines Day Instant Replay!
  • Before 5th Grade- we pretty much just made Valentines boxes to sit at our schooldesks, then each kid passed around little folded cards that had candy taped to them, with themes like; Ninja Turtles- "Happy Valentines Day, Dude!"; Snoopy "Does the Great Pumpkin come on Valentines Day too?" Barbie; "Will you be my Valentine?". And stuff like that, hahahaha....good times!
  • 5th Grade- Jeff Brown (LMFAO deff. not something to be proud of, what can I say Cassie could be pretty persuasive when it came to playing cupid or w/e...THANK GOD that didnt' last long). I think me, him, Cassie, and Giles went to Cheeburger for a date (omg so pathetic.) There was also a rec valentines day dance (I wore a really hot pink dress, lmfao), Dave even got me on video dancing with my loverboy! HAHAHA hope he burns that video, b/c last I heard, he still had it
  • 6th Grade- Steven R.- pretty big step up, I must say; hahaha well at the time Natalie hated me for dating Steve; We both ended up getting eachother the same teddy bear (I actually kept mine but he sold his at a garage sale! I think I made Deena buy it), plus he bought me a ring (which I also still have!) then there was a lock-in at the Community Church and I remember Steve put his arm around me when we were watching a movie (PRETTY exciting!), but we got yelled at.
  • 7th Grade- Patrick Adams! WHOO-HOO! Hey at least he's Ernest Hemingways great-grandson (lol as Lauren put it, "What the HELL happened to Patrick?"), not to mention loaded...Umm we went to see a movie (I don't remember what), then he got me a gold necklace with a heart on it (that broke).
  • 8th Grade- Nobody! Kels, Joy, Lauren, Deena, and I (I think that was it) did secret cupids, where we took eachothers names randomly from a hat, and had to secretly buy eachother a present...I don't remember who I had, but I know that Joy gave me a pen that light up when you wrote, AND the cap came off to be a stamp! haha pretty awesome!
  • 9th Grade- T.- ugh we got matching sweatshirts :) (it was cute at the time, I swear), and he also bought me a fishtank (hey we'd been dating less than a month) which i'd really wanted (HAHAHA), then we went to a movie (some one with Jackie Chan, I don't remember what)...His mom picked us up afterwords (aww how cute, neither of use could drive!)
  • 10th Grade- Also T. We hung out at his house, exchanged gifts...Got take-out at Lazy Flamingo's on Captiva, then he drove me home. Also bought a candle (they were either pink with red writing, or red with white writing, and said stuff like "love" all over it) for all my girl friends :).
  • 11th Grade- stayed home :( was gonna go to dinner with some girlies but didn't feel up to it. Devin (from Montana) was my valentine :) since neither of us had one.
  • I guess that's pretty much the gist of it! Pretty interesting last 6 Valentines Days, huh? Wonder what I'll do for this one? Doesn't look like much, frankly. Bette is workin. Laur is workin. And pretty much everyone else is spending it with their girlfriend or boyfriend. I don't even have a valentine this year! waaaaaah. I think tomorrow I'm gonna buy myself something special as a present... :)  In a PERFECT world, I'd meet some awesome hottie tomorrow; we'd go on my dream date; do something really fun all day (like go boating or something, if it wasn't so COLD!), then a movie and dinner, and finally lay on a blanket on the beach to cuddle and watch the stars and sunset...UNFORTUNATELY, the world is pretty damn far from perfect! Oh well :) Things could be worse.
