Jim Carrey Pops Out of Toilets
Jackie: At summer camp, when I was seventeen, we were all exchanging embarrassing stories of what we used to be terrified of when we were little, and I told them about how I used to be scared that the Grinch would pop out of the toilet when I flushed it, so I used to run away after I flushed the toilet and wash my hands somewhere else--
Kit: The Grinch?
Jackie: I was little! Anyway, My friend commented that the new Grinch movie was out and Jim Carrey was playing the Grinch and the idea of Jim Carrey popping out of the toilet was pretty scary.
Kit: Jim Carrey popping out of the toilet! *laughs*
Jackie: Oh shut it. Well anyway the wall that connected to the bathroom started making weird noises and a tapping started on it from the other side. We laughed that it was probably Jim Carrey coming out of the toilet. We tapped on the wall and it tapped back. Then my little sister ran terrified into the room claiming her closet was rattling like a ghost. We checked it out and it was just something weird about the trains going by nearby. But, when we got back to the room, my sister curled up with us, still terrified--and the tapping started again. We thought it was the people next door, but when we went to out them, they were dead asleep.
Kit: So who was it?
Jackie: My little sister apparently. She was very good at pretending to be terrified. But we didn't find that out until the next day at breakfast when the people next door asked us what was up last night and my friend replied "Oh, Jim Carrey came out of the toilet and was tapping on our wall." Then my sister said "Oh, no, that was me."
Kit: *laughs*
