I'm sure there are more; these arn't always the most played (though many are) but definitely the most influential and the "best" in terms of quality. However, admittedly, the quality of some is debatable (re: Bark, by Jefferson Airplane).

There are 15 bands and 33 albums + 2 compilations.

Maybe a review of them? Of the 15 bands, only 3 are represented by one album. That means 12 bands contributed 30 albums and 2 compilations. I should organize this and work on this later...for now...I don't know...
