incoherent, as always: an entry on basal needs and desires

Feb 23, 2011 09:46

Usually, when I come to livejournal, it is because a stream of thoughts is waiting to be emitted from my brain. Kind of like urine from my urethra. That sense of instant gratification, of basal needs and desires being met is of extreme importance to me. It is to everyone, I suppose; basal needs and desires are some of the last vestiges uniting humans in an ever dehumanized world.

Speaking of dehumanization, I saw part of The Hospital and most of Network the other day. In addition to these viewings, I did not view Marty (for it tends to make me too sad) but I did view an episode of Private Screenings with Ernest Borgnine. Paddy Chayefsky, man, what a great storyteller. I wish I could pack a tenth of the umph into one of these livejournal entries that he packed into his entire career. What an amazing man.

Back to dehumanization. Back to the grind, of daily thought and melancholy stupor.
