tramps like us, baby we were born to run...#lyrics

It is Tuesday morning now, the last week of the calendar year. By week's end, it'll be time for a new calendar. I don't have high hopes or expectations for 2011, despite the fact that I normally do for a new year or so. I feel as if between having a job and my gastric bypass, I've already started a new path. True, there have been many bumps along the road, but I've learned that is okay. Now, if only I could untrain the laziness out of me.

It is Tuesday morning now, and I wish I had plans for today. I used to look forward to Tuesdays: 40% of pizza; trivia at the pub; blackjack tournament at the Oak. I don't think this Tuesday will bring any. Okay, maybe I'll be around pizza --if Wes does indeed to get some. We shall see. I don't have high hopes or expectations for the rest of this week, despite the fact that I try to end the new year on a bang. I feel as if between being broke and lazy, I've already acquiesced to the notion of doing nothing. True, I've been wrong before, but I don't think this is one of those times. Now, if only I could be wrong.

It is Tuesday morning now, a Tuesday I'll probably forget. By day's end, I'll know if that assessment was correct or not. I don't think that is bad or being melodramatic.I feel as if the clash between expectations and reality is insurmountable. True, it doesn't have to be, I don't have to have the attitude I do have, but such is life. Now, if only I could stop intellectualizing it and put it into practice.

Now it is Tuesday morning, and I just don't know what to do with myself.
