Riku has already come a long way since I brought her home. She still doesn't talk, but she's much more interactive with people than she used to be. Yesterday, in fact, she actually took initiative to interact with one of my clients...or rather, my client's child. The lady had come in with her infant son for a fitting. I like to think so :) I don't know what she came with, though. She might have genius parents, for all I know, and be a genius herself. Maybe she just already knows everything I'm teaching her.

You taught her that it's ok to talk and go near people. That's something she didn't have before.

Heh. I suppose you're right. And she doesn't lash out like she used to. Sometimes she still gets tense around certain people, but she doesn't immediately smack at them or bite them.

See? Manners too.

Manners, possibly...but in her case I think it's more that she's learning to not immediately distrust people.

Probably. Although she never tried to bite or hit me, for the record.

This Aquila thing is such a pain. My sister hasn't been able to get back in the city, which, I think you'll agree is a tremendous boon, but neither has anything else. Anyway, what I mean is, I have time on my hands.

I like to think the fruit ~helped~, but that she liked me.

.. nooo?

With her, it's hard to say. But I won't tell you you're wrong.

...liar~

I still take the lack of biting as a promising sign.

.... never. I'm honest as salt.

It certainly is.

And how honest is that, exactly? As I've never met salt with a personality....

... Do you know I've never considered the expression that much? I suppose it's how if you put salt in food you can't really mistake it for anything else.

I've never heard the expression at all, truth be told.

Well you're not from where I'm from.

At any rate, I was just saying I have a little free time these days. That's all~

True that.

So what are you doing with that free time?
