The First of December
It is the first of December today and you know what that means? There are only three weeks and four days until Christmas! It means there are only two weeks and six days until I leave for Cairns and it means that this year is over in 31 days! Wow, I have to get cracking on my Christmas presents. So far only one gift has actually been purchased and it has not arrived yet! Last time I ordered something from this place for Christmas, I ended up getting it two weeks after Christmas. I took a total of two months to get here!
It also means that today is the first official day of Summer, and although it is a cool 20 degrees today, it is going to get a lot hotter very soon. I am not looking forward to 43 degree days, sunburn, and nothing to wear. I have no summer footwear! I wear boots all year long. I am fucked. At least when we go to Cairns we will be living in air-conditioned comfort for ten whole days.
