My 2 best friends visited me from Boston this weekend. We have known each other since our late teens. We partied, together cried together. I was maid of honor at their weddings, I was there when I was there for the birth of their children. We have been there for eachother in good times and bad.
It was so good to have them here. It has been over 12 years since we were all under the same roof for more than one day. I have always appreciated my friends, but since moving to Florida I have really understood the importance of true friends; life long friends.
They got in on Friday around 5pm. I was late picking them up, because I got just a little off schedule. Nothing ever works how you plan it anyway, so you just roll with it. They were starving so we stopped to eat at Olive Garden, before heading home. The original plan was to fo to Downtown Disney that night, but they were all so tired. They had planned on going to Sea world on Saturday, but the day was gloomy and rainy so we decided to do what all girls enjoy. WE WENT SHOPPING!!!!! OMG it was just like the old days. It's so easy to just slip back into your routine. It was so good to have someone that really knows about fashion give you an opinion you can trust. We went to the Milenia Mall, which has high end stores. We browsed we bought. With most of our time being spent at Tiffany's and Victoria's secret. I got my Tiffanys set cleaned that my husband bought for me when we were on vacation in Hawii. It looks great, it's like having new jewelry all over again.
I just can't say enough. Just being with people that know me. They know what I like to eat, what I like to wear, they know who I am. They brought me presents from Boston. Things that I actually like. I just can't explain how it feels to have someone know all my tastes, my bad side, my good side. In the past I took all of these things for granted. My friend Alma brought me two pocket books. One is a Dolci & Gabanna in a soft brown leather and the other is a Prada. OK so they are knock offs but they are beautiful. She also broungt me some silver Jewelry pieces that go great with my Tiffany silver pieces. A girl has to mix and match and spend her money wisely after all. My other Friend Bethania brought me a beautiful clutch pocket book that is going look great when I go out dancing with my husband, along with a beautiful silver and turquoise bangle and matching choker. I should probably take pictures and post them, but I am not up to it right now. :(
They finally went to Sea World yesterday, the day was perfect for it. I dropped them off in the AM, nope I did not go with them. I have a rule and that rule is "Jy don't do parks". It's the first thing I tell people when they come visit. I drop off and pick up but I don't do parks, specially not with guests were you can't just conk out at home and go to bed when getting home after an entire day of standing. We went to a Dominican Restaurant after I picked them up from Sea World. My husband and I had gone severeal times in the past and have gotten to be know the owners. They recently moved to a different location and it was our first time there. I started talking to the owners and found out they are from the same town I am in the Dominican Republic. They know my father for gods sake. It was so incredible, it made me feel even more at home.
This is way too long, to suffice it, it was just fun having them here. I will see them in June when I go to Boston, and we promised to get together for shopping at Copley Plaza in Boston, we are alos going to go to Vegas in October.
Just one last thing. My friend Bethania actually introduced me to my husband, she has known him longer than I have. My friend Alma is also very good friends with my husband, they all love him and he loves them. So they have known him for almost as long they have known him. We all just had such a great time.
I dropped them off this morning and I cried all the way home. I miss them already and wish they stayed longer. :(
That's it
