Dragging

I have been dragging this week.  Everything seems to be going in slow motion, work, gym, everything.

The hightlight of my week was on Tuesday when I actually ran a 5k outside without having to walk. Yaaaayyyyyyy Me!!!!
Something just clicked, initially my heart went nuts, so I just slowed down my pace and all of a sudden my heart started liking it.  I was running and running, one mile, 1.5, 2 miles.  I'm thinking to myself, "what the hell is going on,? I should be dying, out of breath right now, but nope I did the entire thing.  Kept my heart rate between 142-154.

Even though I was dragging, I still dragged by big butt to the gym, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and today I am getting ready to go on a 12 mile bike ride.  Tomorrow I am running a 5K in the AM and heading to the gym in the afternoon.  This weight better be coming off, I have lost some inches, but I still feel like Java the hutt.

Last night my trainer, John, kept asking me what was wrong because I was quiet and going through the motions.  He said he didn't like it when I was like that.  I am usually cheerful, I usually make him have laugh attacks with some of my racy comments on certain things/positions he has me do.  He likes working with me because I am a nut and do what ever tortourous exercise he thinks up for me to do.  Most of the women he trains are 250+ and can be whimpy at times, so he says I am the highlight of his day.  I livened up a bit after he decreased the weight for my pull ups and increased my bench press weights to 85. :(  It was fun though.

As tired as I was I stayed for a 6pm class that was a mix of yoga, pilates, tai chi, and meditaition.  It was heaven, I have been feeling stiff lately, and the stretching felt oh so good.  I thought I wasn't going to be able to do some of the yoga poses with all this weight, but apparently I am still somewhat flexible. :) I fell asleep during the 15 minute meditation part.  By the time we were done I felt like you feel after having a relaxation massage.  Which consequently I have an appt for next week.

The plan for today:  12 mile bike ride, pedicure, facial and get my hair done.

Have a nice weekend all.
