Is it 2010 yet?
Well here I am again, resorting to roommate thievery, as she is out of town and I am snitching her computer.
A belated happy holidays to everyone. I'll have to dig through and see what I missed.
Things here have been... dramatic.
Jenny and I have been having a rough month of luck, which we seem to be batting back and forth at each other like a truly awful game of hot potato.
Jenny started it by getting in a car accident. She is fine, no one was hurt, but her car is... battle scarred. To say the least.
Then I found out the hard way that I am violently allergic to mangos, yippee.
After that Jenny ran out of gas and discovered she did not have her wallet or a cell phone on her and was stranded. That is her story to tell, so I won't impede.
Late on Christmas Eve my family dog went into convulsions had to be taken to the doggy emergency room. We spend Christmas visiting him but he was doing real bad and we ended up having to put him down. We buried him in the back yard today.
In a very dry moment my caustic sense of humor raised its head and noted that, within the span of three weeks, I have been in both the worst physical and then mental pain I have ever endured in my life.
But we're fighters, Jenny, my family, and I, and are currently whole-heartedly throwing ourselves into the near militant pursuit of a good holiday. No doubt we'll succeed, because we're just that determined.
Bring on the new year. I've been through the fire and come out the other side made of sterner stuff. Just watch me.
