So I sold my 15" unibody MacBook pro with high end stats for about 1200, and my Roland V-Drums for 1300; I paid bills and got stuff smoothed out with that money.
But I got a 2004 iBook to use for word processing and that turned out to be a mistake. A $200 mistake. I was in the stone age, there.
Well, no more! I'm working as the Easter Bunny at Arundel Mills Mall and I'm making $9 an hour just to sit on my ass for a few hours a day. Sure, I'm sweating my balls off. It's uncomfortable and you can't rub your ear or eye if you have a bad itch or a drop of sweat gets into your eyes or in your ears. It's a royal bitch, but... it's otherwise easy. If it wasn't so damn slow, the day would go by much faster. But whatever.
Monday I'm doing a double shift. 10am to 8pm. In a hot suit. Lame.
BUT. It's all good. Because I'm getting the money thing back on track and I got myself a 13" MacBook Air. It's the Aluminum Unibody design with the SSD flash memory, an SDHC card slot (SDXC would'a been better but that's okay), and all the trim. The bad news is I spent $1299, a dollar less than what I made on the drums (I went to Delaware so I wouldn't have to pay taxes) but the good news is... I'm back out of the stone age.
It only has 128GB of storage, which can NOT be updated, however if I back up my files to my desktop (where I have a combined storage space of 5+ terabytes) I'll be fine.
Needless to say, my iPad holds 32GB and the MBA holds 128GB. That's not a lot. But it's enough. And it's very snappy. It boots in seconds. It can be put to sleep for up to a month without using ANY battery, just like the iPad. All-in-all, it's a great computer.
For now, though, I've gotta jet. It's time to work again, lol.
