FrankenGlitter: Green and Purple Look, Inspired by Frankenstein's Monster

Oct 24, 2011 10:17

What you need:
Primer *I use Urban Decay Primer Potion*
Eyeshadow brushes
Madd Style Cosmetics in:
Tank Girl
Trashed
Oz
Grape Fizz
Glitter and Doom
Matte White
Bone Daddy Dust *or Sparkle Motion*
Black eyeliner (liquid AND regular)
Mascara

Start with naked eyes.  Apply your primer and wait a few minutes for it to set.

Pat Tank Girl on to the inner 1/3 to 1/2 of your lid and blend it out.

Apply Oz to the outer 1/3 to 1/2 of your lid and blend inwards.  You should have a small empty (or at least unsaturated/unbuilt) margin between the colors.  It's ok if there is a little color in the center of your lid from blending.

Apply Trashed heavily in to the center of your lid.  Blend lightly into both colors.  (I promise I blended but these colors are so packed with gold glitz that the flash cuts off the colors if the light doesn't hit right)

Apply Grape Fizz very lightly into your inner half of the crease.  This color can build really darkly, but that is not what we want, we are going add color on top of it.  P.S. don't worry about your fallout yet.

Apply Glitter and Doom lightly on top of Grape Fizz to give it a more grey-purple tone, and then apply it all around your upper lid colors.  Blend it almost up to your brows, and bring it down on your lower lid.  When using dark purples and blues like this, it's good to make sure your color application is pretty even, or you could look bruised and mottled.

Clean your brush, or grab one that is already clean (I have one brush for mattes, and one for non-mattes because no matter how much I clean my brushes, I somehow always STILL have glitter in them) and apply your Matte Stack White heavily into your inner corner, and lightly all along your brow bone.  These pics were taken blurry intentionally to show the contrast between matte and OOO GLITTERY!

Now, take your Bone Daddy Dust/Sparkle Motion and apply it ONLY in your arch.  ONLYYYY in your arch (where the arrow points) and be careful not to let it fall in your Matte white area.

Clean off all of your fallout and glitters all over your cheeks and nose...and eyebrows.

Take your solid eyeliner and line your upper and lower waterlines, and fill in your eyelashes.  I never put mascara on my bottom lashes because the stick eyeliner usually darkens them just enough...and you don't get the clumps and itchiness.

Take your liquid liner and apply it following the shape of your lid but 1/8"-ish away, and a little on to your lower lid.  I don't know what this kind of liner is called, but it's not wing liner... SO if one of you know, PLEASE let me know what it's called.

Fill in your brows, put mascara on your upper lashes, and go fix your face!! I did nude lips, but this would look great with light pink or maybe red...ALL DONE!
