quick before sleep

Well, this is gonna be short, but I should update. The concert last week....terrible. But JJ and Laurel came, so that was cool. We went out for ice cream afterward. Yay! This weekend was State S/E and the 4n6 banquet. Friday night was unimportant as I just worked on my debate...finished that up tonight because I'm doing it tomorrow. REALLY scared for that, but at least I just have to give it now. I'm not really nervous and I won't be until I have to do the refutation, I think. My improv skills...not so good. Anywho. State. It actually went pretty well. I was dreading it because my solo was not in very good condition and neither was my voice. :-\ However, I ended up with a 1 on both! My violin solo was really scary though because in the middle my peg for my D string slipped and it went WAY out of tune, so I had to stop and re-tune. My judge was SUPER nice about it though. He was like, "this girl wins the award today for nerves of steel!" That was nice. Plus he told me that I'm "on my way to a scholarship." Haha. We'll see about that one. I was really happy to get a 1 though, I've been working for that for a while. Duet was fun, the judge was HILARIOUS and super cool. I really enjoyed her. Sam and I are going to do it at the spring concert too, so that's cool. Let's see...Sunday. I went shopping all afternoon. At first I was really excited, but then I remembered just how much I hate shopping. Oh well. I still need to find some shorts and another skirt. Anywho, I then was off to the banquet. It was really long, and I didn't really get to sit with everyone I wanted to, but it was still all good. I had fun with Cec, Jon, and Alyx. :-) I was an honorable mention for "most improved forensicator." It's SO true too. It's amazing how far I've come in a year. Last season I powered three times and never got a trophy. This season, I powered every single meet, trophied almost every single meet, and am going to Nationals. Crazy. I was really honored though to be considered. I have felt SO much a part of the team this year. The sense of family I've found this year is just....amazing. Especially after all we've been though. Anywho, I guess I'll be wrapping this up. I learned some arabic today...but I don't remember it. Oops. And I drove a 2005 Toyota Corolla LE. That was cool. I want one. With ABS, of course. But yeah. I'm gonna go to bed pretty soon, so I'll update later about my birthday and stuff. :-)

*heart*
Lauren
