did you watch the spanish TV coverage? I thought it was really respectable. Whenever i watch the american tv, it's like, "o, dem goddam mexicans" but like, on Al Vivo Rojo, they were showing everywhere around the country, also showing that NON-hispanics (because a lot of those are immigrants/illegal immigrants, too) marching a lot. It was a very dignified rally/march and pretty peaceful. No fights had really broken out or none of that really crazy violent eruptions that tend to happen in peaceful demonstrations, which is even better. Entire companies shut down today, ENTIRE COMPANIES....and big ones, too. The border was closed off in El Paso by a many protestors trying to show that a lot of workers from Mexico work in the United States.
I think it's pretty cool and pretty amazing how all of this stuff has gone on pretty smoothly more or less. C'mon, w/o immigrants this country would be boring
i think it's pretty funny that the people that really get upset are the white people not wanting mexicans here, because "they take our jobs"
ironically, when their ancestors came, they moved in, raped the land of its resources, probably the people too, killed them off with disease and displanted them.
all the mexicans want is to work for you in a job you really don't want/would never plan on being employed.
