Did anyone else notice that the illustrious FireFox 4 teaser page is touting its 'Firefox Live firefox cubs' with an (adorable) image of a RED PANDA?!?
We are too sly to fall for such tricks, Firefox!
But it turns out I _am_ late to the joke: 'firefox' is actually a term for 'red panda.' Oh.
Then I was going to object to 'cubs' for fox babies too, but apparently it's also acceptable, along with 'kits' and 'pups.' And they really do mean red panda cubs... although btw, red pandas are not bears(like giant pandas are) but are of the raccoon family.
Thus their babies are properly called 'kits.' Except that cubs is apparently ok too.
Particularly in the case of... yes, red pandas.
