Wow... I finally have my first days off here. We've been working 7 days straight for the last month, and they finally gave us some time off. So yesterday, the calling SM and I went for a ride to find out what there is to do around here. Truthfully, there isn't much. We did stop at a thrift store, where I gave serious thought to buying a mattress (tired of my air mattress that lets my butt touch the ground every night), or I did until I saw the price tag... However, I did get my cowboy boots, and a cowboy hat. I'm super excited about them. I got a really good brand of boots, a pair of Ariats. They are beautiful, and so comfortable. Don't be surprised if I ditch all my shoes but my Chucks and my Ariats... They feel like they're already broken in... And my roommate Kat and I went to see Star Wars III... SO much better than II. Completely makes up for the disappointment that II was. I knew going in Mace Windu had to die, but it still sucked when it happened. I also knew going in all the Jedi had to die, but I didn't like seeing that happen either. You'd think the force would protect them. Guess not. And my personal theory is that Anakin's way of bringing balance to the force was to give life to Luke and Leia. The prophecy never said how he would bring balance to the force, just that he would. Seeing the first TI fighters was pretty cool. And the first X-Wings. And R2 kicked some serious butt. And now I understand why Yoda was on Degoba all those years. Poor thing. I always knew Yoda was the coolest character in Star Wars. Walks softly and carries a big light saber... Anyways, now you have to feel sorry for Darth Vader, because he basically flushed his own life down the tubes. And it makes sense why he tried so hard to get Luke to come to the Dark Side. He'd lost Luke's mother; he just wanted a piece of Padme to be near. He wanted to be with his family. You can't fault anybody for that. Not even Vader. And he does in the end remember the difference between good and evil... He does kill Palpatine in Return of the Jedi and saves Luke. So evil can turn good... And I lost my point of all this somewhere, so I'm done...
