You know, I gotta say that I never thought I'd get married. I was 5 years old, and I told my mom that I was never going to get married. If I did get married, it was going to be when I was older and had gone to college and had a career, and that I would never marry anyone in the military, and I'd never have kids.
And then I got married... at 18... to a marine... I'm so scared about the last part now...
As for the wedding thing, I really didn't start planning it until we actually got engaged. We had a nice, simple wedding. We had it in the Japanese Tea Gardens in Hayward, which is just beautiful. My only regret is that my family and friends were not there. But seeing as we're having another wedding, that will be remedied. I think I want it simple and elegant. For me, it's not about the favors, or flowers, or food. We could rent an In-n-Out trailer for all I care. As long as the people I love are there, I'll be happy.
And this, of course, includes you.
