Just a quick note to say...
Howdy! I know I've been absolutely terrible at posting recently but I just wanted to quickly update people on what has been happening in my life:
My Grandma has had her operation on her lung and it went really well. She's still really drugged up on pain medication at the moment but she was able to talk briefly to my dad and Grandad yesterday so that was good. They say she'll probably be in for about 5 more days so she wont be able to make the concert I'm singing in but I'm happy as long as she's okay. Mum and I are going to go see her tomorrow - should be quite surreal but I'm looking forward to it. I love my Grandma :) I'm so glad everything went well.. you never know with these things! They couldn't perform keyhole surgery because they couldn't see properly so the surgeons made a 10-12" incision in her chest and removed 20% of her lung (including the tumour, obviously!). She's recovering well and apparently my Grandad is okay too so on the whole, YAY! I am a happy bunny.
In other news..
I have a horrible virus thing which means I haven't been able to speak properly for ages so I'm just crossing my fingers that my voice will be back in time for the concert on Sunday. I'm seeing Dream Theater on Saturday though so I'll have to try not to strain it.. hmm, that's going to be hard.
I saw John Mayer last month at the Albert Hall! We got the tickets two days before the gig - ever the spontaneous people we are - and it was fantastic. He's a true, talented performer. Some time soon I'll post a review with pictures from the night :)
I saw INCUBUS on the 29th of last month and it was awesome. Not as good as their Astoria gig though because the mosh pit was horrendous but the band were as incredible as ever. Will review that soon too!
I've been working loads recently and not earning much money but I bought some gorgeous boots the other day with my wages so I'm happy. Only £20! Lol. Ohhhh, being superficial sometimes has its perks! Anyway, I'm babbling now and I've got to run off to write some monologues.
