Paris part 1
I've decided the best way to organize the many pictures I took in Paris is to make multiple entries in chronological order. Blame photobucket for the odd and sometimes small sizing. Here are the first bunch.
a great place to begin
Charlotte Rampling poster that was all over the Paris metro stations.
Saint-Michel fountain
whimsy, presumably French people feeding birds in front of the Notre-Dame.
Whimsy dog that I found when my teacher took us to get ice cream.
Gargoyles!!!!11 (the side of the Notre-Dame at a bad angle).
A picture of Josephine Baker at one of the metro stops.
Montmatre - famous for Parisian artists and bohemians that lived and met there (i.e. Dali, Toulouse-Lautrec, Van Gogh, Picasso, Renoir, and many others), location of the Moulin Rouge, and filming location for much of Amelie:
The Two Windmills - cafe where Amelie works.
Moulin Rouge gift shop.
I thought this was funny because its obviously on display only because of its extremely vague resemblance to the necklace Nicole Kidman wears in Moulin Rouge.
The Sacre-Coeur and carrousel from Amelie.
The Museum of the Middle Ages:
trying to be Medulla-era Bjork.
Carpenters who made church seats for bishops to sit on carved whimsical pictures (like this pig playing an organ) underneath them, where no one would ever look. If that wasn't funny enough, our museum guide called them "blasphemous" so I had to take a picture.
The Chateau de Vincennes which dates back to medieval times:
the oldest part of the castle which the rest was built around
the cathedral
the moat, which was massive - the picture doesn't begin to do it justice.
Marylin being a slut at the metro stop.
Park across the street from Cite Universite (where I stayed):
It was mating season for the pigeons. idontwannatalkaboutit
You get to see this exact spot in Paris Je T'aime.
Window masks in a shop near Cite Universite:
Apparently there is a booming industry for racism in Paris.

The one picture I got inside the house (a box for fried eggs).
Chartres - a town outside of Paris famous for its cathedral where what is supposedly (and very well could be according to carbon dating) the Virgin Mary's birthing gown has been kept for hundreds of years:
