[It seems empty, he sounds surprised, then sounds a 'pft'.]

Well the undead must've gotten to this lot. I'll help myself.

[To that famous coffee--something trills in a high pitch, then a crash and struggle!]

SHIT.

[Whoosh, and the trilling squeals into the distance

Ianto walks in to the flat to what he perceives to be a huge mess of shouting people.

"Oh, I only left for half an hour. What's happened now?" he calls to whoever remains in the apartment.

John threw Ellington out the window.

Ice on the eye. Don't mind him on the couch.

Ianto just closed his eyes and sighed. "Why would you do that?"

At that moment, Tosh reappeared through the door. There were things she needed if this search was going to be done properly, she had a job interview that afternoon that she was sure she'd be arriving at looking a mess, and she'd left without her gun.

Spotting John sitting on the couch nursing a black eye, she stalked over and planted her hands against his chest, shoving at him more in frustration than any attempt to actually injure him (as unlikely as that would have been anyway).

"You find him! You find him and make sure he's all right!"

Then she took off toward her room.

Jack wasn't saying a word.

He'd let John field those two questions.

"It was an accident the thing jumped on me," he said to Ianto with a faint scowl. "You ought to teach it not to do that, and get me a pack of ice while you're at it."

He leaned back on the couch again, only to have Toshiko come stomping through. John resists the urge to fight her off and takes the shove like well... like a man damnit. He just sort of nods in acknowledgment of her threat. After he treats the eye, see!

"It's called affection," Ianto said, rolling his eyes as he carries the groceries he's gone out to by into the kitchen. Might as well get the ice at the same time, he thought, if only to shut John up.

He took his time, though, putting the shopping away first before getting some ice and twisting it into a towel. He came back into the living room and dropped the makeshift pack on John's lap, before going back into the kitchen to switch on the coffee machine.

"Ianto, you up to ducking some zombies while we look?"

Nope, not much sympathy for the icepack in the lap. Course, that might be because Jack had received such tender mercies a time or two in the past.

Cold cold cold! He quickly pulled the ice pack and any fallen cubes from his lap to place over his eye. No 'thank you' of the sort to Ianto, John was a rude one.

"I'll leave before the Missus comes back with a pan," John quipped as he got to his feet. For the better really, because his attitude wasn't kosher at all today! He always worked best alone too, that is if he was planning to help find the little star baby in the first place. He was considering it, but far be it for John Hart to actually say it.

It was a good think Ianto didn't care for any thanks from John.

His hand hovers over the switch on the machine to turn it off again. "Of course," he calls back from the kitchen, "are we going now?"

Andy pauses, checking the number on the door matches the ones he's been directed to before knocking.

He was about to call back 'yes' when he heard the knock.

"Right after I answer the door!"

Giving John one more glance, he was up to something, Jack just knew it but didn't know what to say about it ... or really what exactly John might be up to, so instead he turned and pulled open the door.

...

And blinked.

"Oh boy."

Gwen came up behind him, absently muttering under her breath; something about a certain Captain's parentage and the chances of there being dogs or pigs in there.

"Oh, fer th'love of... is there something you n.... Andy?"

Oh, she just had to be mistaken.

Beep beep, and the light emitting from his strap hummed to beam him out.

"Much as I'd love to stay for the reunion... Ta," he waved to Jack, which also included Andy and Gwen at the door, and maybe Ianto out the corner of his gray-blue eye, pff.

Andy had been about to address Jack when Gwen appeared. He turned at the sound of her voice, not having expected it.

"Gwen! The bloke who told me to come here said you were out somewhere."
