[Slight hum of someone phasing into the flat.]
Don't look now but...
[It seems empty, he sounds surprised, then sounds a 'pft'.]
Well the undead must've gotten to this lot. I'll help myself.
[To that famous coffee--something trills in a high pitch, then a crash and struggle!]
SHIT.
[Whoosh, and the trilling squeals into the distance
(

You have two seconds to explain what that trill was.

Hello, Blue.
[ooc: Is this all right?]
Reply
What was the trill.
Reply
There was a reason.
A really good reason.
He's working on it.
Almost there.
...
Nope, can't come up with anything.]
Blue.
[Quietly spoken, drawing himself up the way he does when he's about to say things people aren't going to like.]
There was a misunderstanding, with Ellington. Tosh and Gwen have already started looking for him, I'm going to be joining them shortly. We'll find him.
Reply
Three seconds, and then I'm decapitating something.
Reply
Is this normal for you Jack?
[Duh that answer is yes.]
Reply
Jack's chin jerked up, an indicator of his being startled -hello Witching Cloak!- and inwardly he sighed.]
Ellington surprised someone who came into the apartment.
[That someone being the dumbass that Jack was currently standing in front of so that John's guns would have to go through him to get to Blue ... and all right, so the Vorpal Blade would have to go through him to get to John.]
Unfortunately there was no one immediately available to explain who Ellington was and in the ensuing scuffle, Ellington slipped out the window.
[Not a lie, persay. After all, Ellington had to 'slip' out of John's hands while John was chucking him out the window.]

He's not stupid, and neither am I, Jack, now get out of my way, or I'll make you move.

Accidents happen.
[The slipping or the gut reaction to toss a star baby, who knows. He notices the blue and the blond hair, this has to be the warning Jack gave him.]
Reply
[Jack shoots over his shoulder, keeping himself firmly planted between the pair. Sure, they had the weapons but he was bigger. Just, you know, had to make sure Blue couldn't grab him and toss him all the way into Building #5.]
Blue, listen. It's a good thing you came. Ellington will come to you more readily than anyone else. I can tell you where the girls are and if you catch up with them, you can probably find him.
[He's got dual automatic pistols at his back, a Vorpal Blade in front of him and Jack is armed with!!!
Wait for it...
Wait for it...
HERE BLUE, HAVE A KAZOO!]
Reply
The kazoo gets sliced in half - he'll get Ellington a new one later if he isn't dead by then and he stows the sword, grabbing Jack by the waist, lifting and tossing, then aiming a fist right for John's left eye]
Reply
....
[He's never seen anything of this stature throw Jack with such ease. The surprise delivers a fist to his eye and that pistol goes whipping for Blue's ribs!]
Reply
Scrambling to his feet, Jack saw John moving to pistol whip at Blue's ribs.]
John, NO!
[Command voice and Jack charged to grab and pin John. Mainly because he really didn't have a chance of holding down Blue -assuming he could even get an arm around him- and secondly because if he put a bruise on Blue, Cori would kill both he and John.
Really, he was trying to protect John ... and if it helped his temper the thump the other time agent into the floor once or twice.]
Quit it, both of you!
This isn't helping, Ellington.
Reply
Fine! Protect him, see if it matters, but if Ellington is dead, so much as missing a single tentacle, I'll kill him.
[Crosses his arms, raising the hood]
Reply
He has a fucking sword, Jack!
[Oof, the thump makes him groan, but he's not going to fight back if this keeps Jack between himself and that boy who seems capable of tossing a full grown Harkness.]
Reply
Jack got to his feet, putting the sole of one boot on John's throat, the other on the arm with the gun. Guess where the majority of his weight was? Not on the gun.]
And if he meant to kill you with it, you'd be dead.
[Said with hard directness and an expression that strongly suggested John stay down.
Turning, he looked towards the hooded figure. He wanted to promise they'd find Ellington, say all those nice platitudes you said in a time like this but he knew better than to believe they'd do anything but upset Blue further.
And at the end of it all, it didn't matter. Blue had trusted Tosh, Torchwood and thus ultimately, Jack to watch out for Ellington and he'd failed.]
I'm sorry.
[He said finally, waiting for Blue to Witchcloak out of the apartment before releasing John.]
