This Crazy One Writes Again....

Hello All,

It has been a long journey for me learning as a non speaker of Chinese or even background, however I am forwarding some information that I have learnt through my own diligence.
I have studied Mandarin for 2 years during these 2 years I only have been for class room interaction for 6 months.
In all this time I was never taught the basics. But this is what I have to say and believe me I am extremly ANGRY.

1) Pin yin is romanization alphabet for chinese pronounciation of words
2) Pin yin is Spell and Sound
3) Pin Yin is the romanization alphabet for Chinese
I was never taught Chinese equivalent alphabet which is the bopomofo (jian zi) in the national language. I had was to learn this by myself. I had a teacher who was taught in the National language.
After learning the bopomofo things began to become easier for me.

I went back to the Simplified Chinese Putonghua and foundout Mainland China does not have an alphabet system for themselves they use Pin Yin as their alphabet which is TOTALLY WRONG and then they use 25 radicals to put the characters together which is contrary to their PinYin template. There are 37 radicals to learn Mandarin using the national language template based on Pin Yin.

However, by learning bopomofo I realized Mainland China learning of Mandarin is 10 times more difficult than the national language and in the end china only Spell differently by using less strokes but the national lanuage bopomofo can be applified because China kept the romanization Pin Yin alphabet system. I think China was being taken for a ride because English and French is not their language and everything is subject to those 2 languages.
My personal feeling is the 25 radicals China use must go because that becomes China's alphabet and is no where in the body of their language for how they write or be used as their language system of learning the written language.

In the national language with the bopomofo and the equivalent strokes that make up the words this can are clearly seen by the learner. The learner can tell if something is strong based on the strokes that are given in the Pin-yin at the side of the word.

Therefore Chinese Children who learn Putonghua memorize their whole language and there is absolutely no need for this. In fact what I have observed they all return to Pin-Yin in the foreign land and don't want to bother with the language anymore, especially the younger once.

I was being taught two spelling system at the same time which is TOTALLY WRONG and not even given the correct alphabet once I was being taught the written format of Chinese.
What I recommend as a Nursing Teacher is this;
1) Introduce everyone to bopomofo whether Cantonese or Mandarin from the very beginning.

2) learn romanization Pin-Yin based on your language; Cantonese or Mandarin, currenlty it is being used by both languages in the national language jian zi bopomofo

3)Because Mainland China spell slightly different from the national language separation need to occur then, so students are not learning both spelling at the same time but at least they will understand the words based on the national language jianzi bopomofo (alphabet system just like British English, and North American English) system.

My final comment is Mainland China change the amont of strokes used to write the language for simplification but infact to achieve their result it became even more complex to understand, JUST FEWER STROKES, AND IN THE END WHERE IS THEIR ABPHABET. And if they do have one based on the 25 radicals they never use it just Pin-Yin.

I hope this will be some benefit to all teachers.

May the Creator bless you all
Goodbye
