Wow, what an exciting lunch week I have had. Instead of the usual mixture of Swedish style rye bread and a choice of black forest ham or bologna, I instead this week decided to diversify my sandwich portfolio. So, this week I bought Munich style rye bread, and a choice of tuscan ham or veal bologna! Wow. I'm really living on the edge! What a time to be alive.
(for the curious, there was no noticeable difference in the breads.)(Then again, as the D&D crew knows, I am a huge proponent of heaps of yellow mustard, which has a tendency of smothering subtleties.)
WOOOOOO weekend!!!
For the first time, since...well, probably when I was working at the credit union a year and a half ago, I worked Friday, and have Saturday Sunday off! Wooo! Friday Actual was also Friday Effective! Man. SO excited about that. It's pretty magical. Also it's a sign of how my bootleg my office is; having Sat-Sun is a magical golden calf that everyone fights for. Le sigh. Ah wells, I earned it this time. Really - I worked eight out of the past ten-day span from Oct. 28 to Nov 7 (hereafter known as The Duration.) Here's some fun statistics:
- With 10.5 hour shifts, 35% of my time during The Duration was spent working at the office.
- Factoring in time spent in transit to or from work, and the hour of time it takes in the morning to get ready for work, my time not devoted to work was 10.5 hrs a day. 45% of The Duration was spent at work, or engaged in work-related activities.
- discounting 8 hours of sleep per day, I had a total of 2.5 hours a day of free time. 28.3 (repeating) % of The Duration was awake, free, time.
Huh. You know, when you look at it mathematically, it's not nearly as bad as it felt at the time. Go figure, ah?
Well! Time to enjoy my weekend. So long, pants!
