Interesting isn't it that associates are astounded that paralegals can do stuff without supervision. (And often with minimal instruction.) A truly great paralegal will always go that extra step--i.e. provide the index.

Wait until you've been doing this a couple years and the first and second years are coming to you to find out how to do things....

And the supervision I asked for was for the other para to take a quick look at what I'd found to confirm it was complete, since I still don't even know what the case is about. (It was.) I asked her for the index templates and then off I went.
