Still a busy few days, which means that I've been on here less than I like to be ... but things should calm down a bit in a little while

I wish I had it at paw, but it's on my MBP, and I'm away at the moment - but that reminds me of a cartoon during the primaries that remains insightful: four panels, with each of Cruz, Clinton, Sanders, and Trump at the podium, with their avian spirits: vulture, eagle, dove, and Angry Birds. =:)
It's pretty amazing to behold the quality phone cameras can afford now, versus even just eight years ago, compared to the iPhone 3G's rather.. perfunctory camera, shall we say. =:) Beautiful view, needless to say, and again makes me wish I could be out there. At least it's refreshingly chilly here, even if as snowless as usual

Thanks for that story! I've seen similar ones from all across the country, helping disprove the notion that if you don't live in a big city you're automatically a social redneck. (My favorite story from this part of the world was from the town of Stanley, Idaho, near where I lived for a couple years as a kid. The ton has a population of 63, and 30 of them showed up for the march!
Though I try to stay away from Facebook nowadays, I did spend some time reading the Pantsuit Nation group there after the march ... lots of stories like that, and some very heartening ones.
As for the iPhone, if they could figure out how to add an optical zoom tho the thing I'd almost be ready to get rid of my "real" camera entirely. As it is, probably 80% of the shots I post here are just iPhone snaps, which is kind of amazing considering how awful smartphone cameras were just a few years ago ...
