Give it up, GC

Dear Ghostcrawler:

http://www.wow.com/2009/06/09/tuesdays-in-game-fixes/

There is no possible way to balance this game the way that you seem to want to without breaking compatibility between PVP and PVE. Accept that. Please.

I hate getting PVE nerfs that were done for PVP reasons. I don't PVP except occasionally to hang out with my guildies who DO. The possibility exists that I would enjoy being on a PVP server as the geared hunter of doom that I am now, world PVP, right? But BGs and Arena are, to my mind, similar to what David Carradine was allegedly doing that led to his death.

I might grind out the 30/30/30 marks for the black war tiger and the black mechanical chocobo. I wouldn't count on it.

So I ask you: please stop fighting it. These kinds of one-off solutions - similarly to the Great TBW/Readiness nerf of recent months - tweak a little thing in the back of my head that determines what is lined up, and what is out of order. It frustrates me, even when it does not directly affect me. Frustrate me = I keeel you.

Remember: you have been balancing PVE raiding around the skills and talents as you've written them. If you're going to re-balance for PVP, you're going to break PVE. Unless you do things like this.

I'm surprised you haven't accepted this yet. Perhaps Pilar is right - perhaps you aren't really very smart. Sure, you have that degree in marine biology, but how well do you understand systems? It took you that long to figure out it'd be difficult to make a living at the part of it that you enjoy. IMO, that doesn't bode well for your ability to make connections.

Well, at any rate, I hope this open letter finds you in good health, and I will admit to being eager for the next couple tiers of content. I wonder if I would have joined Wizards IRL if you hadn't done things the way you've done them.

Sincerely
Mechakisc of Doomhammer
