New cd aquisitions:
Michael W.Smith- Healing Rain: I've been curious about this one for a while now
Point of Grace- A Christmas Story- YEA CHRISMTAS MUSIC
Newsboys- Go:Didn't even know they had a new one coming out. Good reason why to regularily check your local torrent sites. Nice to hear something non-worship from them again though there is at least one worship song on here. They are much more rocky then they had been before. I really like this new album though.

So I finally sent in my application to Stanford last night. I know that I am going to get accepted into their field school- my faith is just there for it- but I put it off for so many weeks because I was nervous. Once I send it in, I can't take anything back. I can't rewrite my answers to the questions, can't edit it. Through those basic questions, I needed to get them to love me. Out of who knows how many applicees only 20 get accepted. Accepted to Stanford University. It's rated like third best university in America and in the top five or so in the world. And I am going to have a student number there. o_o ....Well, I guess God has yet to call me to something small. May as well get used to the feeling! *gulp* Cool, praise God!

I have two term papers due in two weeks. Well one is just "whatever" my internal drive tells me I have to make it as good as I can. My prof already told me that of all her years teaching that history coarse I am doing to hardest topic she had ever seen and I had a strong argument. So at least I get kudo points off the top! lol My archaeology paper has me a bit concerned but after organizing my notes I think I'll do just fine. Bronze age surgery in the mederteranean, there really isn't much out there. Surgery was insanely limited I found out. You have your circumcision practices, a few stetchy trepanated skulls, brozen bones, arrow extractions. And that is all covered in half a dozen pages in two sources. Even after expanding the topic from the Minoans and Mycenaeans to include the Egyptians, I didn't get as much as I wanted.

BUT! You have NO idea what I've learnt! Oh lordy. Egyptians treated crocadile manglings and bruises in the same way; slap some raw meat on the area in question and then treat it with various concotions. If you're in a pinch for contraceptives (ie. your crocadile dung is on low supply), elephant dung will work fine. In fact, they used dung for everything from contraceptives to stimulate hair growth to using it on open wounds, all mixed with various other ingrediants. But it all must have worked to some degree otherwise I doubt they would still be using such grossness for so many thousands of years. The Pysician of the Anus was actually a rather high level in pysician heiarchy as that meant you were trained to administer 'medications' via that area. Who would have thunk it? And all the other wonderful invaluable pieces of information I have come across, I think it is time to go away now.

MERRY CHRISTMAS! (Less than a month till I am home, whee!)
