This con happened with next-to-no notice--had given it up as unaffordable, but our dear friends the Clockwork Dolls arrived at the 11th hour with entry/press passes for both of us =) So Liz Pricelined a great rate for us at the very-nearby Westin Hotel and off we went. So, yesterday it hit 101 here, heat index = something delightful like 110. at 7 AM Lizbat woke me up to say the air conditioning wasn't working, and at about 8 AM we called the emergency maintenance number. long story short, our AC unit, which is 25+ years old, couldn't handle this heat wave and had given up its little freon-chilled ( Read more... )

Trying out the wig (and his custom travel luggage, hee). I haven't done any trimming on it yet, as you can see, but I think it's going to look terrific. I was pleasantly surprised by how well it fits, considering this is an OOAK head. [--points for Judy's sense of scale.]
