I played World of Warcraft for six or nine months back in 2007. I am vaugely considering getting back into it, but there are a few things that are keeping me from it. The first is the fact that I own the base game and Burning Crusade, but not Lich King or Cataclysm. A quick look around says that all of the suppliments are still $40 a pop, and $80 to get up-to-date is pretty unappealing.
So, my question is this: are there any cheaper ways to get one or both of the expansions, should I decide that such a thing is warranted? I've found that Blizzard offers 15% off both expansions if you get them at the same time, but I was hoping that someone could offer me discounts that were a little steeper (For Lich King at least, I'm sure I'd have to pay a lot for Cataclysm either way.
Also, anyone willing to give me the high-points of what's changed since late 2007?
