I have wanted a baby. I have wanted to give birth. I have never wanted to be pregnant. This pain for walking, changing positions, rolling over in bed deal is just not making this a happy time.

Whenever people ask me how I'm doing (in a pregnancy way), and I tell them ("ok; my back hurts and I'm tired all the time"), it really bothers me that the majority of people reply with "yeah, well, that's to be expected," or just laugh, or wave a hand at me like it doesn't matter what I say ( Read more... )

If I'm feeling too tired to sit up, and I rest my head on my jacket on the pew, I alarm people. If I had a husband there with me, I could just lean on him, and no one would be wiser to my fatigue.

I have a friend who is being counseled to give up her baby. And here I sit with no baby. Hrm...

My mother is the one who told me about my sister's baby's Gastroschisis. I've been (of course) reading voraciously to understand it, so I can make intelligent conversation with Daryl when she does feel like talking to me about it ( Read more... )
