9/11
I avoided it this year, the 9/11 anniversary. I'm not sure what tasteful remembrances of the tragedy would be, but what I managed to hear all around me without tuning into anything on purpose, was not it.
Not that I have any place from which to speak. On September 11, 2001, I didn't even know what or where the World Trade Center was.
There was a scale replica of the Vietnam Memorial in town this weekend. I helped a friend instead of going to see it. Wish it didn't come down to choices like that.
