Naruto; Sasuke x Naruto; unfinished liek whut.

Dec 11, 2005 03:00

I started working on this two months ago, stopped, picked it up yesterday and found myself at a block three paragraphs and a couple of sentence revisions later. I'm only posting it up because, well.. no particular reason.

Title: Untitled, unfinished, and I am damn lazy and am refusing to try to name this.
Author: Kitana
Warnings: I have no clue yet, argh. Was supposed to be smut, but the idea doesn’t want to work itself out yet.

It irritated Naruto when Sasuke got all of the attention from everyone. Girls were always fighting and chanting his name, and even though that’s not what Naruto wanted, it was still a way that Sasuke beat him. Sakura never could take her mind off of him, and barely worried about herself in comparison to the way she rushed to his side during missions.

The blonde sat next to Sasuke, who looked so bored that he actually hoped something in this forest was stupid enough to try to eat him. Naruto pouted a little, and then thought about why there were here. Sure, it was his fault for piping up about missions being extremely boring, but it was all Sasuke’s fault for agreeing, albeit non-verbally. Mostly. The brunette couldn’t blame anyone but himself.

That’s why there were here, ordered to do nothing but sit around until Kakashi-sensei decided that they had enough of knowing what boredom really was.

Sorry, Kaka-sensei, not gonna sit here bored like you wanted. Naruto thought. Then he grinned. Why hadn’t he thought a little earlier? He knew one thing that would shove the stick that was in Sasuke’s ass further up than anything.

“Hey, Sasuke...” Naruto whispered as leaned over closer to Sasuke’s ear.

Sasuke’s eyes narrowed in a mixture of irritation and surprise, and he turned to look at Naruto. “What do you want?”

Naruto’s grin widened. “I brought something for you to see.” And he went to rummage in his pack, laughing to himself at the curious look on Sasuke’s face that the dark-haired boy was trying to hide. Sometimes, Naruto could see why Sakura thought Sasuke was so cute. Only times like this one though, when the brunette wasn’t actively trying to piss him off. Which, on the other hand, was the majority of the time.

The blonde pulled a thin, glossy magazine from his pack, opened it and shoved the main centerfold into Sasuke’s face. It took a moment’s blink before Sasuke realized what Naruto had shoved into his face and his left hand came up to smack Naruto’s hand away, the other pressing fingers against his nostrils before anything could leak out.

Naruto fell into a fit of giggles, the magazine falling to the ground beside him as he wrapped his arms around himself in an attempt to squelch the pain of laughter. “Ahh, you’ve got a nosebleed, Sasuke!” Then Naruto abruptly stopped laughing, yet his smile didn’t waver. In fact, it looked as if he had just seen twenty bowls of ramen, his smile was so wide.

Sasuke wiped his nose before looking back at Naruto, the boy’s smile unnerving him slightly. Sure, he’d seen Naruto cheerful (because, hey, when wasn’t the boy cheerful?) but the particular smile on Naruto’s face wasn’t like any expression he’d seen on the boy. In fact, it made him feel a little trapped; he felt that he should backing away with an inordinate amount of quickness but this was Naruto he was thinking about.

The blonde couldn’t (wouldn’t, actually) hurt him, so what was with the sudden panicky feeling? Sasuke frowned, his brows furrowed. He was getting sidetracked from the mission, though he could really care less about completing it. Stalking someone’s house for some inane reason had to be about the bane of the boy’s existence.

Focusing instead on the house he was supposed to be watching, Sasuke yelped in an extremely undignified fashion when Naruto tackled him. He toppled over sideways, hitting his head against the trunk of a nearby tree.

“Idiot,” Sasuke mumbled, reaching up to rub at the tender spot atop his head. “What the hell did you do that for?” Kicking Naruto off of him sounded like the most satisfying idea at the moment, but was far from the best in terms of the damnable mission that kept nagging at him. Instead he muttered: “Get off.”

Naruto grinned down at Sasuke, not moving an inch. “I know you’re bored, so why don’t we do something? Kaka-sensei doesn’t have to know.”

A laborious sigh came from the brunette. “Something like what? Can’t you just sit still and be quiet for a change?”

“Hell no,” Naruto said, sitting up on top of Sasuke and dragging from behind him the book he had shoved in the boy’s face just not too long ago. “Something like this though.”
